Sandra is a 79 year old lady who loves being active with her friends and family. Unfortunately, she began having bone spurs get larger and larger in her neck which was causing pain, and worsening weakness and numbness into her neck and arms. She was also having difficulty walking because of the bone spurs pressing on the spinal cord. She was sent to see Dr. Anagnost for diagnosis and care. We tried epidural steroids injections, physical therapy, and medication. She was getting weaker and weaker despite these treatments. Because of her worsening weakness, she knew that something had to be done. At her age of 79 years old, we decided that Minimally Invasive surgery was the best option for her. This surgery was a small tiny incision, to remove the bone spurs, and replace the discs. Her surgery was less than one hour long, and she woke up with immediate improvement with her symptoms. She left the hospital the next morning, and is doing great. She is back to enjoying life with her friends and family. She says “I am so happy I had this operation done. Thank You Dr. Anagnost.”
